Bruno's GLISCOR- Demetri by Moozika Bruno's GLISCOR- Demetri by Moozika
*EDIT* Made some changes according to *Macabre-Kitten's critique. Made the sky darker, and the moon less glaring
*EDIT 2* Removed some highlights to create a better focal point. Thanks to ~BanditCloud for the advice.

I present to you, Bruno's Gliscor, Demetri!

I don't have a story for him at the moment, but I'll be keeping you guys updated for sure! I'm very happy with how this turned out, and just how badass Gliscor looks. He looks just like an absolute vicious, killing machine here.

Hope you guys like this as much I have enjoyed doing this!

I would love to hear your comments as well about it!

If you feel that there is something I could improve on, let me know in the comments! I would also GREATLY appreciate a critique, as I'd like to know what I can improve on :aww:

Hello! :) This is my very first critique so I hope I do it well enough.

The aspect I like more about this piece is the design of the Gliscor. It's very unique and intimidating and improves some aspects of the original design (like the pincers and tail). This design is very well put together with the detailed armor and the Gliscor's expression which looks quite psychotic (which I like :))

Now onto the nitpicking, I think that the moon should've been a bit more unsaturated, it's too prominent. While it makes for a nice composition, it notices that it's a stock photo so I suggest more clouds or perhaps a different lighting. Also the background itself (while it's very well done) the color choice is too similar to the Glicor's coloring so he doesn't stand out as much.

Other than that, this is a fantastic interpretation of the bat scorpion! Well done! :D

I love what you did with the claws and tail! I think that the torso/abs part seems too much like human musculature. I LOVE the work. The lighting of the work looks magnificent and the purple exoskeleton parts look fierce, but the arms/abs look out of place on it. I don't want you to think I'm being over critical. I truly enjoy the work, I just want to offer some suggestions.

I merely appropriated the distinguishing features of the original Gliscor, such as his pincers, webbed wings, and his body that resembles a fusion of a bat/scorpion and exaggerated them. In other words, it's my take and a caricature of Gliscor. A caricature is different from a portraiture, where all the features are drawn to the smallest detail.

However, you are right that it doesn't look like a Gliscor that we all recognize from the original design, it's my own take on it :)

I do really like this, the glow the texture it all really makes it come together, but once again Im drawn (ha geddit!... yeah bad pun... moving on...) to the background! I love how you did the clouds in this one! I like how they match the colour of the night, I tried doing clouds myself at night, but although they look good as clouds, not at night where this looks brilliant. I also love how you did the moon! :D

You're so punny Zoro haha :) The clouds are pretty simple with a textured brush, but without it, it'll be an absolute challenge I'm sure. Need to practice doing them with just normal brushes sometime... :s I can't take credit for the moon though, it's just a stock image set to overlay or something haha. It does look nice though! =P

Thanks for the comment! Much appreciated man B-)
