It's been ages since I have posted anything Pokemon related, so I decided to finally get to drawing out what I planned on doing a while back. I can definitely say I've improved a lot since then, and I'm very happy with how this turned out
I originally wanted to do dragon shaped fireballs, but it turned out to be overkill, and really detracted a lot of attention from the dueling dragons. So it really just looks like plain fireballs... Still turned out pretty good though imo haha
Well, there's no saying if I'll be doing Pokemon artwork for a long time, as I've *grown out* of my Pokephase. I'm sure BW2 will fix that though.
Anyways, as always, hope you guys like it! I'd really appreciate any feedback from you guys, on whatever you think about this picture, good or bad!
what else can be said this is perfect i love this just look at it the poses the way it has been shaded you can see the heat from the meteors almost as if it were being reflected off the Pokemon's bodies the shading for the pokemon themselves is amazing and it perfectly shows the majesty of the two brave and majestic Dragons the Meteors look so real with the fire and dust and stone breaking off of them another thing i like about this is there eyes the eyes are amazing you can see the powerful and determined looks in there eyes they both seem so serous so willing to give everything for this one fight the only thing i can think of off the top of my head that could be better would be maybe there being a few more meteors but that is about it i must say i love this picture keep up the good work
This deviation is absolutely breathtaking and eye-catching.The fact that the precise pose and lighting of the battle suddenly just grasps you into the this scene and thus, you just feel the sensation that it makes you very hot and astonished simultaneously.
As for the dragon pokemon's colors, they blend in perfectly well together. The light and heat of the flame emitted by Dragonite instigates a rather shadowy purple background to the Latios. Not only that, but the warm colors over a dark background is something that often appeals our eyes to us.
Finally, as to wrap this critique up, I wouldn't say it's original because many other artists have done this style of art, there is always spare space for refreshment. So I'd give that at least a 4.9 out of 5.
Wow! I love the shading! I'm also amazed at those fiery looking fireballs! I could make a fire effect, but my effect is slutty... But yours is AWESOME! I like the dragon type most in pokemon, and I think it looks really beautiful!
It looks amazing! Perspective-wise too! Everything looks proportional. I'm not too sure about the Latios' reflection on its body though. Might be kind of distracting. Btw, what medium did you use for drawing this? Photoshop?
