I tried to do something in a more afternoon/daytime setting, as opposed to the usual night time settings I have. Tried playing around with a wider color palette as well, and also landscape more centered around architecture.
I struggle with drawing architecture in general, which made creating this piece all the more challenging for me. However, the overall feel of the picture feels right to me. I'll definitely be practicing to improve my architecture drawing skills, though!
Anyways, I guess there's not much else to say about this piece, as I didn't have a strong concept in mind before starting. It just sorta came together as I was messing around.
Enjoy! And I'd greatly appreciate some feedback on the piece! I'd love to know what you guys think!
I like this rough, though very detailed technique, which I think worked with the architecture. The foreground being so dark reminds me of romantic paintings. The red in it gives me off "danger!" vibe. I am not sure if you meant to depict it, but it has great contrast with the rest of image having this fallen mist over it. It is kind of impressive as a study, roughly coming out of the head with little concept as you described. Anywho, well done, Moozi.
OK SO HOW DO YOU GET SO MANY GOOD ART DONE IN SUCH A SHORT TIME man I really like this one, especially further down, with the fountains (?) that look like dragon heads.
Wow, the beautiful village reds drew me in and then I saw the water and architecture in the background, which looks absolutely amazing. 8D The buildings are awesome too, did you use a reference for them at all or did it just come naturally? Either way, I still need to practice buildings and lighting as well to make my pieces awesome like this.
This looks like it should be a village in Monster Hunter! Maybe I should show this to one of my friends, who does Monster Hunter fan-fictions; he'd be able to make this come to life, I have no doubt.
