Cheng Yi and the Phoenix Gang - Cheng Yi

Some character designs I have made for a larger project I have done, called Pirate Summit.

The idea behind these characters is based on the historical female Chinese pirate named Ching Shih, whom was a prostitute that ascended to become the leader of a gang of pirates.

I had the idea that they would yield fireworks as weapons, and their magnificence and ferocity would instillt he image of a phoenix int he minds of their enemies.
